Who We Are

The Vivergo Fuels plant is based at Saltend, near Hull and is in the final stages of construction; becoming operational in 2012. 

Upon completion Vivergo Fuels will be:

• The largest biofuel producer in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe
• The number one tip point for wheat in the UK; and
• The UK's largest single source supplier of animal feed.

Jobs & Economic Value

Our business is creating around 70 full time, skilled jobs with Government calculations suggesting that an investment of this size and scale will generate a further 1000+ jobs indirectly.

Vivergo Fuels has worked closely with bodies including JobCentre Plus to offer apprenticeships, training and employment opportunities in both the constuction and operational stages of the company's development.

To date Vivergo has directly contributed over £40m into the local economy through its supplier and business contracts.

Safety Record

Vivergo Fuels has an excellent safety record having recently acheived 3 million man hours since the last Day Away from Work Case.

Earlier this year, Vivergo was recognised for its achievements in excellent health & safety practices by gaining the Gold Award for Occupational Health & Safety by the RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) awards adjudication panel.

The National Joint Council (NJC) also named Vivergo Fuels as winner of its Safety Award for Engineering Construction. This award recognises outstanding performance on major projects.
